Bojongmenje site is located at Kampung Bojongmenje, Cangkuang Village, DistrictRanchi, Bandung regency. Currently an estimated temple once stood on this site is still in the process of research and restoration, so there is no picture of the shape andfunction of the building at first.
The temple is built of stone Bojongmenje andesite, estimated berdenah square basewith sides along the 6 m. From the ruins of buildings that are found, it is known that the shape of the temple is very simple and contains only a single-layer walls withoutrelief decoration. Simplicity is an indication that the human civilization that makes itstill more modest than in the development of civilization and Candi PrambananBarabudhur. Until now there has been found in written sources describing therelationship Temple Bojongmenje with certain kingdoms that had existed in WestJava, however, based on archaeological findings on site Bojongmenje, it is estimatedthat the temple was built in the 7th century and 8th. On land owned by one resident, who called Anen, they sawa crowd of ants. The residents then tried to dig the soil around the location of theseants crowd. To a depth of two feet, they encountered a hollow land around there is aneat pile of stones. Excavation continued until the formation of stones were visible.Upon reaching a depth of about 80 cm, the excavation was stopped and the findingswere reported to authorities.
