Ijo Temple is located in Hamlet Groyokan, Sambirejo Village, Prambanan District, Sleman, Yogyakarta. This temple is located west of a hill that slopes away from the crowds in the western region of Yogyakarta, in south Temple Baka Queen.

It is said that to build this temple is not only used the stones from Mount Merapi, located at the site of the temple, but also a kind of stone imported from various places.
The main temple building stands on the foot of the temple which berdenah rectangular base. The entrance to the room in the temple is located on the west side of the mid-wall, flanked by two fake windows. Above the doorway there is a tiered headdress Kala. As found in other temples in Central Java and Yogyakarta, the two heads of Kala is not equipped with the lower jaw. Above the threshold both windows are also decorated with sculptures false Kala heads compound.
The doorway is framed by a pair of dragon's body stuck to the bottom with her head back to the doorway and mouth wide open. In the mouth of each dragon there is a small parrot.
The windows of the outer wall there is fake north, east and south, which is 3 pieces on each side. The sill is also framed with ornate dragons and Kala heads as found in fake windows flanking the door.
To reach the door which is located approximately 120 cm from the ground made the ladder is equipped with a pair of cheek-shaped staircase makara. Makara heads stuck to the bottom with his mouth agape.
